Mattie is a graduate of Portland State University where she earned a degree in Film with a minor in Business Administration and a minor in Spanish.  As an AAPI creator, she has a passion for elevating the voices of BIPOC filmmakers and the brands of small business owners.

Her experience includes work on feature length films, shorts, and music videos. Mattie believes that being on set with a diverse set of hardworking people has taught her that pushing through tough situations as a team can give rise to an energizing work environment and a great end product. A diamond cannot be formed without pressure.

Once just a hobbyist, she has taken makeup artistry seriously and has served as the Key Makeup Artist on several film and music video productions.

She is also interested in creating content for social media.  As an AAPI creator, she is especially interested in working for businesses owned by people of color.  Mattie enjoys working in the social media space because it allows for creative problem solving and pushing the envelope of artistic expression.
